There's still a chance of the Hoff making number one in the Downloads charts (which are announced on wednesdays for some reason), although going by Itunes he'll be lucky to make it.

I understand your disappointment at Hoff not reaching number 1, but I think last week was definitely the best time to release the Hoff Alert. The actual single had just been released (available to buy in the shops) and there was a lot of momentum behind the campaign with various radio stations promoting it. I think it was a case of now or never.
Also with regard to calling the campaign “get hasselhoff into the top 10” I’m afraid I’m on the side of the creators on this site on this. If they had called it that it’s not exactly the most catchy name to get people behind the campaign.
As disappointed as I am I think we all did well to get a truly awful song to number 3, it’s just a shame about Razorlight and Scissor Sisters.
